There is nothing as tasty as seafood freshly caught. I was in a small town in Zambo Sur once and I was swimming on the beach with my fellow 'construction boys' when this vinta arrived from the morning's fishing. We waved and asked the fishers about the day's catch and one of them gave us a couple of small squid about 5 inches long, still translucent in their freshness. We rinsed them in the sea and ate them right there. Yum. The squid were still sweet. I havent tasted squid like that since.

True. Same is true for freshly picked shrimp. The best comparison I've ever read is with fresh grapes. Freshly caught seafood is like freshly picked grapes: crunchy, juicy.
