Guyabano: Cancer cure?!!

Wheatgrass, mangosteen, okra, cranberry... the list goes on.

I know people who hate guyabano the way they hate their favorite movie villain. I love the sugary and sourcream-flavored guyabano, preferably eaten in greed, straight from the prickly biggish fruit, not as juice, which has a turn-offy color and consistency. Our yard in Pangasinan used to have about four or five guyabano trees, which are constantly attacked by bats in the evening for the exotic aromatic fruits but which also proved to be prone to fungal infections that my father had to cut them all down. Now I want all those trees back if I can.

...A study at Purdue University recently found that leaves from the Graviola tree killed cancer cells among six human cell lines and were especially effective against prostate, pancreatic and lung cancers...
