Unvitiated invidiousness

Going back to reality (fearsome virus, out-of-control weather, ugly politicians, and others)…

Unvitiated invidiousness. That’s the phrase I thought is apt to describe what the noisy sifakas and aye-ayes (Aye! Aye!) in Congress just did in their attempt (which we all hope is last-ditch) to extend their term and remain in power forever.

Definition of terms:

unvitiated – pure; unpolluted

invidious – calculatingly evil, calculated to create ill will or resentment or give offense;
hateful: invidious remarks.

Why are these men and women so stuck up about power? I strongly suspect they are infested with worms. What they need then is a strong antihelminthic.

Ah, power. Money, power. Who doesn’t want these? We all do. But we also understand power enough not to trust it, leave it, and make it stay, in the wrong hands.
