From 'Hello Garci?' to How dare you, Carlos Garcia!

Been waiting for a columnist, journalist, or any writer to do the connecting of the dots between these two, um, watersheds in the hyper-reality telenovela, but I haven't found any. I'm not up to the task, but there must be a connection somewhere, with shady top military figures being involved in both episodes. If there's a connection, are there common personalities involved, and what were they up to? Personally, I view what happened in 'Hello Garci?' as a military highjacking of the executive branch for some mysterious reason (to expose the reigning politician's corruption? to embarrass her to make the military untouchable?), which is now being reversed (with the legislative branch practically putting a gun in the military's face) at the Senate hearing on Gen. Carlos Garcia's alleged plunder of military coffers for obvious reasons (to investigate alleged corruption).

Carlos Conde tried to trace the story behind Angelo Reyes' suicide as far back as he can, but he skipped any mention of the Garci scandal. Presently, the plot is too filled with holes. Left hanging on to shreds and the threadbare, the national viewers suffer from so many speculations, including red herrings along the way. Will someone iron out the kinks in this narrative? Angelo Reyes would've been a fine one to do the singing until the fat lady sings, so to speak. Alas, his character was killed, like in the case of Baron Geisler after allegedly cupping Cherie Pie Picache's breasts outside the script.
