How do you distinguish between being annoyed by something really annoying and being annoyed because you are annoyed by something in you that you don't know annoys you? Should everything be projection? I bet not.
Based on experience, I think the answer lies in the level of irrationality of reaction, the strength of emotion. It the response commensurate to a given stimulus, or too much that it is telling enough?
